SRC Community Nursery has over 41 years of experience in delivering exceptional care and education for children from 6 months to 5 years. We focus on helping children have fun, build friendships, and learn in a nurturing, safe environment.

SRC is a community-run, non-profit nursery. Any surplus we make goes back into providing affordable, high-quality childcare and education. We’re proud to have a dedicated team of professionals alongside a voluntary management committee supporting our mission.

We were rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2024.

The nursery began in 1983 at Sumner Road Chapel in Peckham, initially as a short-term project. However, it soon became obvious that there was a strong demand for quality childcare, resulting in oversubscription within just a year. In 1991, we moved to our dedicated site on Gaza Street, and since then, our nursery has continued to grow and flourish.
