Special Educational Needs, Disability And Inclusion (SENDI) At SRC.
At SRC, we strive to provide every child with a wonderful start to their journey. We understand that high-quality early years support is essential for all children. That's why our SENDI approach is so vital to what we do.
At SRC, we believe in giving each child the best possible start in life. We recognise that some children may require ongoing support, while others might just need a little extra help during certain stages of their learning journey. If your child has additional needs, please reach out to the manager. They're always ready to chat about how we can join forces to support your little one effectively.
How does SRC recognise if a child has SEND or requires extra support?
Our team are well-trained to notice when a child might benefit from some additional assistance.
When we identify a need, we partner with families and, if needed, other professionals to create a tailored plan. This helps us collaborate closely with the child's key person to ensure they receive the support they require. Some children might need ongoing assistance, while others may only need temporary help. For those needing short-term support, our practitioners are always available to provide guidance, and we can also facilitate external referrals if necessary.
How will staff support children with additional needs during important transitions like room changes or moving to school?
Our team work hand in hand with families to support children through every stage of their early childhood education. We ensure that each child receives the specific support they need to thrive. This could involve a key person settling with your child as they transition into a new room, applying for an EHCP, or inviting school teachers to our nursery to meet the children and their families.
Your child's smooth transition is our priority!
